San Antonio Missions National Historical Park | Missions San Jose and Espada

This week on our Sunday Side Trip, we take you along to one of our favorite things to do in San Antonio, Texas... join us as we visit the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park! This collection of 4 Spanish missions from the 1700s is a World Heritage Site. Each of the missions is unique and has it's own story to tell. Today, we'll take you along as we explore Mission San Jose (also known as Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo) and Mission Espada (Mission San Francisco de la Espada). We'll also make a stop at the historic Espada Aqueduct, built in 1745 to direct water to the crops at Mission Espada from the San Antonio River, it is the only Spanish Colonial Aqueduct remaining in the USA.
